Ann Wu, MD MPH

Founder, CEO

Ann is a pediatrician, mom of two, former Harvard professor, and founder of GeneSprout. She received a BS in Biology from MIT, an MD from Harvard Medical School, and an MPH from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. As a board-certified pediatrician, she practiced at Boston Children’s Hospital (where she also completed residency) for 20 years. At Harvard Medical School, she led research initiatives in genomics that led to over 170 publications. Her research demonstrates that actionable genes should be screened for at birth and during childhood.

As a parent of two college-aged kids, she knows what it’s like to want to ensure optimal health for her children. In her spare time, she serves as MIT Class ‘94 Alumni President and Chair of the Board of Directors of Housing Families, an agency that supports families and individuals experiencing homelessness.
